Grant Information
Thank you for your interest in the Ryan and Jenny Dempster Family Foundation. If your organization would like to apply for a grant, please follow the instructions below. Our inaugural grant cycle will take place August 1, 2010 – October 15, 2010 with grants to be announced in November 2010.
The Ryan and Jenny Dempster Family Foundation strives to lend support to charities and organizations supporting children with 22q11.2 deletion (DiGeorge Syndrome/VCFS) through monetary grants, programs and increased community awareness. The Dempster Foundation empowers organizations to help children with rare illnesses overcome difficult situations through:
- providing funding to continue research for early detection of this disorder in children,
- supporting programs about 22q that provide education, physical therapy and activity to promote long term well being,
- creating initiatives that build and instill confidence in these children,
- developing a 22q network for families affected by this disorder to share stories and help navigate heathcare options and treatment.
Grants are awarded annually from $1000 to $20,000. In order to be eligible for a grant, your organization must:
- have been in existence for two or more years
- Have 501(c)3 IRS status
- include a copy of the determination letter with application.
Priority will be given to organizations located in the following areas:
- Illinois
- Arizona
- British Columbia, Canada
